Oplan: Lingap sa Kapwa 2007 (Pinas version)

Another milestone on FORAC’s list of unlimited public service activities.

On August 2007, FORAC members/officers who will be in the Philippines for their annual leave will extend their public service commitment by providing assistance (used clothings/toys and food) for those poor victims of fire in Caloocan City, Manila.

Tell your family and friends in the Philippines to read Manila Bullettin, Peoples Journal and Pilipino Star Ngayon for more details about this activity.

Thank you for all your donations and assistance.

What's a blog?

A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.
Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.
In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.

THURSDAY NA SA WAKAS! Yahooo!

People ask me, don't i ever get tired of camping out every week? Don't i ever get fed up of driving up and down dunes and don't i EVER get bored of deflating my tires and inflating them back up again afterwards?

People ask alot of questions about other people's hobbies only because they haven't tried it themselves.

Personally, i think it's not ONLY because you're out there negotiating terrains and just having fun, it's because you're with people and friends who share the same lifestyle, well, not exactly the "same lifestyle" but rather the same hobby or the same adrenalin outlet. Others bunjee jump, sky dive, downhill moutain biking and other extreme activities that requires a considerable level of adrenalin which is cool! It just feels so good to be out there on the weekends just satisfying your week-long craving for a fun and exciting week-end with friends doing what we do best. It's all i ever think about ever since i got my 4x4 and when i got things going i just couldn't stop. Have to be careful sometimes though because you wouldn't want to wreck your ride...because if you do, then it's game over, for the meantime that is, until you get your 4x4 fixed.tehehehe

Well anyhow....it's another THURSDAY again, looks like my week-long wait has come to an end!  VvvvrooomMMM!!!

from a FORAC member...

My name is Conrad, call me Jun for short kasi Jr. ako eh. anyhow, lets make the intro short and cut to the chase!

I'm a member of F.O.R.A.C.(proud to say).Without this group, I wouldn't know what to do on weekends...I wouldn't even know what to think of on weekdays either. It's something that runs in me i guess....if you have that certain level of craving, the longing the never ending search for adventure or maybe you'd just want to completely obliterate(too harsh) well maybe not...maybe you'd just want to bruise your car up really badly, then join F.O.R.A.C.

We love the things we do, aside from being a charitable group, we are so keen to camp out in the desert after a week's work because it’s something so relaxing compared to hanging out in pubs and other noisy joints(at least to me it is). To wake up in the morning, sunrise on our faces anticipating the "GARA-GARA"(that's our native tongue for "DUNE BASHING" cool isn't it) that lies ahead of us...then off-course there's the actual dune bashing which is to die for(not literally unless you're in the backseat! hehehe) oooh YEESSSSS.....those dunes are heaven to my eyes, I'd give up my married life if I were to choose between dune bashing and getting married(JOKE!). Anyhow, so you follow these cars that take the lead...or just follow the car in front of you because you wouldn't know the way to anywhere when you're out there unless you have a GPS, well anyhow, the point is...you're out there driving, you're 4x4 engaged, just you and your beast, and you hear nothing but the roar of your engine and the occasional shouts on the walkie-talkie! And how can I forget, the Gs you feel when you go down a dune and up another one....(hehehe I make it sound so extreme!) pero totoo...there are some dunes out there that'll just tickle your ribs on the way down! eeeshh... i remembered the first big dune i ever driven down...i could cry with satisfaction! and then there's "WALLING" yeah...one of my favorites, I don't do it too much though because. i might wreck my 1999 LC Prado(thanks to MOISES,YO PRES, keep up the good work!!!) that car's running like a dream!. I've taken that car out on my own sometimes and it never ceases to amaze me!
